Biography

Richard J Edwards
Media Composer

Since studying classical piano at a young age he developed an interest in music technology which led him to work as a studio engineer and keyboard player for live bands, during which time he played at such venues as the Royal Albert Hall, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, the Symphony Hall in Birmingham and the Jazz Café in London.  As a composer, Richard has worked on a number of short films including Stuck, which can be seen on Amazon Prime. He has also composed music for a number of documentaries and art installations for the Science Gallery, Museum of London and Quiet Voice Productions. A project he composed music for, ‘Stories of the World’, was featured in the 2012 Cultural Olympiad. He also produced music for the live multimedia performance, ‘Tough Blood’ for the Science Gallery and ‘This is Your History’ for the Museum of London. He is currently working on a short film for an independent production company and is also working on a Dolby Atmos project to be shown at Chelmsford Science Festival.
